10 DOWNING STREET - POINTS OF LIGHT AWARD

3Cs' founder Steve Rigby has been awarded a National Honour by receiving a "Points of Light" award, the winners of which are personally selected by the Prime Minister for work done by individual volunteers who have made a difference to their community.
In wishing to show his thanks to Steve for the 45 years of work he has done since forming the 3Cs club, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has sent Steve a personal letter of appreciation while Steve's work will forever be featured on the "Points of Light" website which honours all those who have been recognised at 10 Downing Street.
On receiving his award, Steve accepted it on behalf of all those who have given their time over many years to assist at 3Cs, saying "Teamwork makes the dream work".
Although still attending the 3Cs' club nights, Steve now lives in Welshpool, Powys, where he has also started a new chess club for those of more mature years.
